Rainier PR launches UK's first mobile tech PR blog
7 February 2008
Rainier PR has expanded its award-winning tech PR blog from its website onto mobile platforms. Wadds' Tech PR Blog, penned by Rainier PR co-founder Stephen Waddington, uses the mobile content platform Mippin to enable the blog to be available on mobile devices.
Mippin works by sucking in content from RSS feeds on the web, enabling the freshest, most relevant content to be delivered in a perfectly rendered format for mobile internet users. Users are treated to instant and convenient access to the most up-to-date news, blogs and other business and lifestyle information, while publishers don’t need to make any changes to their existing publishing infrastructure. Rainier PR has not had to alter its site to accommodate for the expansion into mobile formats.
"It's a cliché to say the way we communicate is changing fast, we're just keen to embrace new ways to get our message out there," said Waddington. "Mippin has enabled us to make our blog available for people on the move and we believe this is a first for our industry."
The tools used to mobilise Wadds' Tech PR Blog are available immediately, with many large publishers already taking advantage of Mippin to create a mobile eco-system, Waddington added.
Wadds' Tech PR Blog, which won the Communicators in Business (CiB) "Best Business Blog Award 2007", can be found at www.rainierpr.co.uk/blog and the mobile version at mippin.com/waddsblog. |
