Microgen reaches out to tech community with Rainier PR
16 July 2008
Microgen Plc reviewed four agencies, but felt that Rainier PR was the best fit for the company in terms of experience and liked that the fact that the team which came to the pitch was who they would be working with.
“We really challenged the agencies we saw – they had just thirty minutes to convince us that they could do the job,” said Melissa Shone, director of marketing, Microgen Plc. “More than any other agency Rainier PR came across as an agency that would provide us with a real ‘PR engine’ and drive the programme forward. In the first three months this has certainly been borne out and we’re very pleased with our decision.”
Sophie Jarvis, director, Rainier PR, said: “Microgen is an exciting addition to our client portfolio and certainly one that we wanted to win! Its technology relates to plenty of topical news issues occurring in the market today from the need for increased visibility and control through to the IT skills shortage. These are all issues that impact the IT department and the team here is enjoying leveraging the variety of topics that Microgen can talk about. We’ve already had some great results and we’re looking forward to generating many more column inches together.”
