Call Connection | News-based Campaign |
|
Rainier PR client Call Connection wanted to raise its profile in order to support its rapid growth and help attract new partners. Through a combination of motivated staff and advanced technology the Ipswich-based contact centre enables insurance providers to sell unwanted telephone leads and buy in others which match their exact requirements. Its unique business model is also focused on ensuring that it is a great place to work through a combination of strong company values, open and accessible management, good working environment, generous pay and incentives and a commitment to having fun.
The campaign
Call Connection has many reasons of which to be proud. Listed in the Sunday Times Top 100 Best Places to Work 2007, where it was judged to offer the “Fairest Deal” to staff, it was also expanding at an impressive rate, picking up new insurance sector customers and increasing its workforce and premises.
Rainier PR therefore created an ongoing news-based campaign targeting the insurance, contact centre, local and national press. Using a combination of profile opportunities, award entries, site visits and news releases it reached out to all target groups through a structured programme. This included publicising the company’s new partners, unique values and commitment to both its staff and customers.
The results
The campaign proved hugely successful in increasing Call Connection’s profile, generating coverage across the media spectrum from contact centre, insurance, local, national and broadcast media.
More than 30 articles have appeared to date including focussing on BBC’s Look East regional TV news, Tower FM radio, Sunday Times, Call Centre Focus, Insurance Times, Insurance Age, East Anglian Daily Times and Post magazine.
Hitherto, Call Connection’s PR programme had been very ad hoc, but with Rainier PR’s expertise it has been able to spread its message nationwide, becoming a regular commentator on insurance and contact centre issues in a multitude of media.
As the campaign helped set the contact centre agenda, Call Connection has become recognised as a thought leader in the field of wider insurance. This has supported the company’s growth, including its plans to bring in additional investment to fund expansion. Profile pieces have also led to inbound business enquiries and increased morale amongst its 380 staff.
“We’ve been impressed with what Rainier PR has been able to do to raise our profile. We’re receiving increasing notice from the rest of the insurance and contact centre industry and are already at the point where journalists are calling us up for comments and quotes, which is a great endorsement for PR.”
